Radiologica Imaging and Diagnostic Center is a fully equipped imaging facility located in a 1,000 m² standalone building on the E5 highway in Maltepe. The center was originally established in 2003 under the name Maltepe Imaging Center by Oğuz Cantimur, Levent Çelik, and Nuri Tasalı. In 2012, it was completely renovated and has since continued to serve patients under the name Radiologica Imaging and Diagnostic Center.
The center operates with two full-time radiologists, including a professor of radiology, and a team of approximately 30 staff members.
Radiologica Imaging and Diagnostic Center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offers all radiological modalities under one roof. All of the center’s devices are fully licensed by the Ministry of Health and the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority. Furthermore, all devices are maintained under regular service contracts and electronic warranties, ensuring calibration and operational continuity.
Diagnostic radiology is a technology-intensive field based on the interpretation of images obtained through advanced equipment, combined with medical knowledge and experience. In this context, keeping up with technological advancements is crucial. The centerpiece of Radiologica’s equipment is its Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system, fully renewed in 2012, and among the first of its kind in Turkey. The MRI system features Total Imaging Matrix (TIM) technology, allowing for faster, more detailed, and more comfortable examinations.
Our Computed Tomography (CT) device incorporates the latest multi-slice CT technology. The Color Doppler Ultrasonography unit, managed by a full-time specialist radiologist, is also equipped with cutting-edge technology. With matrix probe technology, the Doppler unit can produce four-dimensional imaging. Radiologica also houses the most advanced bone densitometry device available in compliance with both national and international standards. In addition, digital X-ray systems and specialized Orthoröntgen units for full-spine and long bone imaging provide significant diagnostic advantages.
Our Mammography Unit is equipped with a digital mammography system capable of performing stereotactic biopsies on a reclining table. This unit is directed by one of Turkey’s leading experts in breast imaging, Prof. Dr. Levent Çelik. As part of the 2012 renovation, the Mammography Unit was designed as a completely separate floor to ensure patient comfort and privacy.
All radiological images at Radiologica Imaging and Diagnostic Center are archived using a web-based PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System). Images can be reviewed by our specialists within minutes of acquisition from anywhere in the world through a secure internet platform. Since 2006, Radiologica has been a founding partner of Turkey’s first teleradiology company.
In 2009, Radiologica completed its quality standard procedures and earned ISO 9001:2008 certification. Furthermore, under the supervision of international peer-reviewed institutions and with the approval of the Turkish Ministry of Health, the center has carried out radiological monitoring for patients involved in a total of 60 international clinical studies—16 of which have been successfully completed—conducted by nine globally respected multinational pharmaceutical companies.
With proven international experience and scientific expertise in clinical research, Radiologica Imaging and Diagnostic Center is one of Turkey’s leading institutions in this field.
Since 2003, we take pride in having performed over 200,000 diagnostic procedures. More importantly, we are committed to the principle that the true measure of our quality lies in how well we can make our patients feel cared for and understood.
